Q.

Hello Doctor,My baby girl is now 2 years old.She had febrile seizure on July 22nd because of urinary infection.we admitted in the hospital and followed the medicine.The second seizure was she had 28th of August because of viral infection.Again we admitted her in the hospital and they took blood and urine test.Results are normal.But she is having fever till now.Doctor advised to give only paracetamol 250 mg syrup SOS 3.5 ml.I have been given this for last 6 days.But she is not well now.what can i do next? please explain about the 2 seizure within 2 months she had.Is this normal or need to eeg??

A. It could be due to viral infection that takes about 7 to 10 days to subside come sometimes and still if the problem is there I would recommend you to get a full blood test done for your child and lastly seizures could there be because of high fever sometimes fever is really high 103 - 105° in between also some kids can have seizures which is completely normal during that time and if any time you see that the child is getting seizure without any issue then you can consult a neurologist for that
