hello doctor my baby girl is completed 2 years knw she is suffering from lot of cough ....she is not able to sleep also...nigh cough is high and it is countaines ....plz suggest wht to do .... tomorrow i will take here to perdocation.... I'm giving warm water when she is coughing...dry cough and doing vomiting plz suggest wht to do knw

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicigxne which should be given only aftter a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
