hello doctor, my baby boy having wt 9 kg and 1 yr 4 months of age. today vaccinated for DPT , opv b, MR 2... he has fever and pain in leg. what dose of paracetamol should be given according to age nd wt?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain.
paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day.
you can also apply ice over the injection site.
if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel.
vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
paracetamol is given as per weight of the child
