Q.

Hello Doctor, My baby age is 22 months old, she had constipation problem from the past few months. when ever we gave her milk of magnesia syrup. she will go to stool multiple times a day, otherwise doesn't. Doctor also predicted, baby may have thyroid, since her mother has thyroid issue. Attached thyroid report for your reference. Could you please suggest your views. Thank you

A. it is not advisable to use medicines for constipation for long Constipation is quite common in babies you have to do modification of food will be taking we have to include fibre in the diet of the baby you lot of fruits seasonally available like mango papaya banana and adequate water for the baby to drink

A. This Seems completely normal to me constipation has got nothing to do with thyroid that way I would do is advise you to give good amount of fibre rich diet to the child include prune juice into your child’s daily diet specially right before you put your child to sleep and morning give papaya as first thing to the child in the morning
