hello doctor, my baby 16 days old but still he is unable to suck mother milk. during sleeping time there is some sound coming from his mouth and nose so is it cold issue with him? now I am doing milk feeding via manual breast pump so my que is that how I can feed milk directly? pls guide me

ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician4 years agoA. Consult your paediatrician once as baby is very small and if due to blocked nose baby is not able to suck then give indirect steam to the babyby using a vaporizer and keeohead little elevated while feeding

Jasmine KaurMom of a 9 yr 3 m old boy4 years agoA. Hello dear parent, some babies take long to start latching. Till then you should express milk and give that to your baby.
But must heal baby latch, because then only baby will learn to take direct feed from the breast.
