Hello doctor Meri baby girl 6 week 3 days ki hai Aaj dophr se iska temperature 99.8 hai Ye normal hai ya toda fever hai Mere pass ibugesic plus hai me kitne ml de sakti hu baby ko

A. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg bg/ kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed . Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease hfever. Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial. Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

A. hello low grade fever and give paracetamol that is enough and ibulgesics is higher dosage and it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better too
