Q.

Hello Doctor I m mom of 3 and half month old baby boy From past 1 week my baby is not drinking breast milk he is completely dependent on formula milk , initially he used to drink BM along with formula, he used to latch only 1 side initially now he doesn’t like BM , he refuses to drink BM if I force, but he drinks formula and drinks regularly I am worried so plz help me

A. See Sometimes what happens is when a child is having feed from a bottle or feeding bottle it’s easier for them to suck it and have it quickly wearing a breast feed takes a little more time than bottle feed which is why maybe a child is interested in having bottle feed only so as of now you can just pump your feed and give it to the child in the same bottle as formula that your child will have if your child is not having it directly from the breast
