Hello doctor, i am mother of 5.5 month baby weighing around 9 kgs, he had fever on 20th April after which he was given antibiotics after consultation, after 2 days he had blood in stool and watery stools for which he had been given some more medicine, on 1st may he had iv for 5 days twice a day after stool examination considering possible bacterial infection. After iv blood in stool stopped for around 10 days after which again there where streaks of blood visible in stool. Aftee that he was put on lactose free formula milk. i couldn't make it 100 percent on formula feed still did as much as he was willing to take. blood in stool stopped and he started passing stool once a day but after a couple of days he again has watery stool but thankfully no blood in stool, he also has 2 lower teeth emerging. please guide if he need to do something regarding the diarrhea or hope it ll be fine in some time on its own
