Q.

Hello Doctor, I am a mother of 3 months baby. due to weather conditions I got cold and fever. Can I give feed to my baby. The temperature is normal but I am feeling feverish. Can you please suggest to me can I take the medicine? Are there any side effects for my baby?

A. Yes definitely you can feed the baby. Paracetamol is usually harmless for breastfeeding mothers. But if the fever or gold gets worse consult with your doctor once mentioning that u r a lactating mother. Your baby will get the needed antibodies to fight such infections in the future from your Breastmilk. So continue feeding the baby. Maintain proper hygiene before handling the baby. If u r worried you may use good quality pump like Phillips breast pump and express the Breastmilk and ask some one else to feed the baby and you can avoid direct contact. #ParentYourWay.
