Q.

#asktheexperts Hello Doctor, I am 32 weeks pregnant and suddenly I am facing gum sensitivity above the tooth in which filling was done 2 years ago. There is no swelling just mild sensitivity and a little heaviness while eating. The filling seems to be intact though. Is it safe to visit a dentist at this stage?

A. hi. yes you can visit for your dentist for routine dental checkup. but dental treatment is not safe during the third trimester of pregnancy. this might be due to hormonal changes
