Q.

Hello doctor good evening My baby weight at the time of birth weight 2kg. Now my baby weight was 5kg he's 6th month old now. is this weight is normal or needs to be more? if it need to be more than please give some tips to increase the weight. can we feed him the home made celerac now?

A. Hello mom generally low birtg weight babies tend to gain weight on a slow pace , also remember they are expected to almost double their birth weight by the age of 4 to 6 months & triple by the age of 1 year. you can initially start with liquid consistency foods and then gradually move to semi solidd

A. As per the situation that we see it should be two times by the time of six months it is normal but it should be more than this actually if you introduce semisolid food to the child then it would be good and also you should shift to formula feeding so go for more of dairy products and fruits and vegetables for your child
