hello doc, My daughter is 2 year 1 month old she not speaking as the same age of her babies are doing ..she speaks only those word which she wants to otherwise she is just doing actions or showing finger that she want this nd that...so doc what can I do to help her ??

A. your child is over two years old, you should have your pediatrician evaluate them and refer them for speech therapy and a hearing exam if they can only imitate speech or actions but don't produce words or phrases by themselves, they say only certain words.

A. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months . child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age . just make the child comfortable and do more interactionfr with the child so that he can learn to speak sentencefs properly. if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
