hello doc. my baby boy birth weight was 4kg ...but now he is 1 year 5 month old weight is 9kg 200 g. baby is very active no helth issu he has never ill before .. but weight gain is very slow ...and I had gestation diabetes

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. the birth weight of your baby was 4 kgs because of gestational diabetes in the mother but normally the birth weight of the babies will be around 3 to 3.5 kgs only

babies weight gain depends on their birth weight.
usually they gain triple their birth weight by the age of 12 months.
ideally 12 months old baby should have weight between 7 to 12 kg
so don't worry your child weighs normal
please focus on healthy development of your child.
because weight is not only parameter to judge your child health.
it is more important for a child to remain healthy and active then any other things.
