Q.

hello. doc I give formula milk to my baby. I add extra 10 mil water in formula to make it dilute. is it okay as my mil is doc she continuously saying give some water to baby he looks Dehydrated. so instead of giving him water I gave him extra 10 ml in formula. not everytime. once in a day

A. it would not be advisable to dilute the formula milk. it is advisable to give formula milk more often because it contains water and there is no need to give extra water from outside.

A. See if you’re giving proper milk to the child how can your child be dehydrated and just by giving 10 ML extra how much is your child going to get with that practically and logically there is no need to give extra water to the child because whatever feed you give is breast or formula is enough amount of water into that and if your mother-in-law is a doctor she would probably know better about it but it’s not advisable to make formula by adding extra water into that
