Q.

Hello Birth weight of my baby was 2.6 KG ,but during first month checkup the weight decreased to 2.45 and again increased to 2.56 in next 6 days. Is this normal to have slow growth in weight initially ? Baby is on breastfeeding only.

A. dear mother yes definitely weight gain is very gradual in the initial years so there is nothing to get worried and it is a very good that if you are feeding mothers feed as for at least 6 months child should be on the mother's milk because this is the best you can give to your child also keep burping after giving feed maintain regular intervals massaging is also very good step as a feeding mother keep your diet light and healthy
