Q.

hello am mounika my son is 4 months old now his weight is 5.6 kgs.birth weight is 2.9kgs.doctors said 5.6 normal weight..am feeding every 1 ,2 hours some times 3 hours gap...can u please tell me how can i improve my baby weight.

A. Till 5 months or till the time you include semi solid foods in baby's diet, the only way to help baby gain weight is feed milk frequently and fully. In 3 months, you should feed in every 3-4 hours and it should include atleast 2 times night feed too. No need to for 1-2 hours feed. If by 5th month, baby doubles the birth weight, his growth would be considered fine and healthy.
