Some nutritional deficiencies can be a cause for less appetite like iron deficiency which is most common.
Supplementtys like iron supplements and multivitamin with lysine like sypg zincovit CL can be given for 1-2 months to increase the appetite.
Diet counselling is also very important .

Give three meal and two snacks including seasonal fruits vegetables cereals porridge khichadi curd rice dal rice etc
Maintain hydration
Give well balanced nutritious food including fat carbohydrates protein
