Q.

Having breast itchiness when the baby latches. Mother of a 7 day old baby. Is it normal. Doctor prescribed Ritch lotion to be applied on breast and remove it before feeding.

A. wipe the nipples and breasts after every feeding session wear loose fitting Cotton clothes and if itchiness interferes with your ability to breastfeed,you have severe breast or nipple pain along with itchiness,you feel hard lump on your breast please visit your gynecologist

A. hi yes it happens because of many reasons like thrush, mastitis, eczema, stretch marks, skin infection. so, please apply the given cream as per your doctor's advice use breastpads which can help to maintain dryness and prevent fungal Infection and itchiness I would suggest to use Babyhug breastpads which are made up from 100%Cotton material
