hallo maam..my son is having cough from last month... doctor putted him on antibiotics and cough syrup...but still it's not going... kindly recommend what to do

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only aftegbr a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Chitradevi PMom of 2 children3 years agoA. Hello mom, Apply vicks baby rub chest, back and feet. Avoid lying down your baby directly under the AC or fan. Offer always warm water. Offer a pinch of pepper powder with honey. If your offer milk add a pinch of turmeric powder. Keep your baby healthy and hydrated. Thank you have a great day..
