hello doctor. my 3 yr old son having wet cough for 4 days but no runny nose and fever. doctor prescribed antibiotics and cough syrup. do we need antibiotics for cough. please suggest

A. it would be difficult to tell without examination whether the child needs antibiotics or not so what you can do is you can take a second opinion with another doctor who will guide you if antibiotics are required or not
