A. Dear mum, weight of 4.7 kg is absolutely normal for 4 months old baby considering a birth weight of 2.6 kg. Baby should gain at least 500 grams per month which your baby has achieved. Baby should double the birth weight by 6 months. For healthy weight gain, exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.
