Q.

Greetings! Sir, my girl is 8 months old and weighs only 7.36kg. one month ago, her weight was 7.18kg. I don't understand what meals can be given? At what durations food must be offered to baby? how much quantity is sufficient? I feel helpless seeing my child grow slow.

A. hi dewr mom..home made weaning food is fine...avoid sugar salt animal milk and honey till one year....home made porridges khichdi..dal chawal..seasonal fruits boiled veggies can be easily given...use heat sensitive spoon from Babyhug to feed baby. babys weight depends on birth weight ..baby should ideally double birth weight by three to six months and triples birth weight by completion of one year
