Q.

got my 9 month old vaccinated for measles and rubella at government facility they have MR instead of MMR. what to do as i wish mumps vaccination which is not given at government facility. can i get mumps vaccine at private clinic

A. doctor please tell me if i can redo the mmr vaccine at private set up anytime now. mr1 was given today

A. yes can get it at a private setup mmr stands for measles mumps and rubella. you have to give three dosage of this vaccine at 9 months of age then at 15 months of age and at 5 years of age. vitamin a is usually given along with mmr vaccine. at present government covers only mr vaccine while in private mmr vaccine is available. mr vaccine stands for measles and rubella. at present in government set up only mr vaccine so mumps is not covered in mr vaccine.

A. Well you have covered the vaccinations already with what you have gotten done for your child yet if you would require you can get it done from a private hospital there is no problem with that you can check any paediatrician in a private clinic or hospital for the vaccination
