Good morning Sir... My Daughter is 2 years and 2 months old, she is not gaining weight. Now her weight is 12 Kg. Sir kindly guide how she can gain weight and what kind of food we eat her.

A. Ideal weight of a 26 months old baby girl can be between 11 to 13 kgs depending on eating patterns and physical activities. To increase her weight, include fatty and protein rich foods like rice, chicken, eggs, fish, ghee, pumpkin, potato, legumes, cereals, rice water, sweet potato, banana, avocado, milkshakes with dry fruits and 500 to 600 ml milk. Feed 3 main meals and 2 to 3 times healthy snacks. Keep her well hydrated with water, buttermilk, fresh juice and coconut water.
