good morning doc, my son is 4 months old and he always sucks his thumb while he's asleep after breastfeeding him....is this normal

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 10 m old girl4 years agoA. ye sthis is a normal behaviour of baby as per what you have told this seem s normal and does not need any thing to be done as for now . So just do not worry about this at all

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. Answer: I would say to let them do what their bodies tell them to do. Thumb sucking is natural and babies do it to soothe themselves. It will stop on its own when they no longer need it for comfort.
