Q.
good evening sir/madam.... my son is suffering from fever ,cold , cough vomitings due to cough many times and waterly motions doctor has prescribed some medicines but temperature is geting 102 with in 3 hrs of given paracetamol... his age is now 19 months can you please suggest the food he is not taking anything except water

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expegkctorant bronchhodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can bej repeated after 6 hours again if required .
