Q.

good evening dr my 4 year kid is having cold from 5 days citrizine was given montelukast was given for 3 days I forgot to give for 2 days mow I have given and another one tablet of montelukast has Tobe give by Tomorrow he is having cough little from 2 days doctorhas prescribed augmentin from yesterday am giving it 4 ml thrice more 3days I have to give is the medicine enough or for cough should I meet dr again or pls advice

A. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated . Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine . As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful . Medicfyines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .t Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .
