Good day Dear Doctor, My daughter is 15 months old and she is having fever I have given paediatric oral syrup twice. In night also she is having fever can we give syrup in 6 hours gap time or only morning we have to give. Awaiting your advise.

A. you can repeat paracetamol after 6 hours The first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. Give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. Keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever Armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever To body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. Higher medicines whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
