Given the COVID situation, is sanitizer safe to use on a child below 3 years of age who tends to put hands/fingers in the mouth?

A. it is advisable to use only regular hand washing for children and avoid using sanitizer if the child is putting the fingers in the oral cavity because it can lead to toxicity
