Q.
From today morning my son is suffering with Fever, i checked the temperature now it is showing 103, he is feeling uneasy, before 3 days he suffered with diarreah. Please advise we gave paracip tonic from morning twice

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician3 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 3 years old and he is having a high grade fever upto 103 degrees so give him plenty of fluids and syrup paracetamol 15 mg/kg at every 6/8 hours

1.SPONGE BATHING
2 DON'T COVER THE BABY MUCH
3.GIVE WATER/ SEMI LIQUID FOOD TO MAINTAIN THE HYDRATION
4.PARACETAMOL SYRUP EVERY 6HOURLY DEPENDING ON THE WEIGHT 10-15mg/kg/dose..
5.CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR SOS IF CHILD IS VERY IRRITATING AND HAS OTHER SYMPTOMS.

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. along with medicine do cold sponging to the baby bgFever is the response of the body against foreign infection like virus bacteria etc no need to use any medicines unless the temperature is more than hundred degrees
