Q.

For my 2 months old boy baby, we have done new born screening tests. In reports we have seen Hemoglobin A2 is detected. Hemoglobin pattern is AFA2. what does that mean, is it serious?? am worried

A. without looking at other perimeters it is difficult to tell and interpret so better to meet you doctor for interpretation and usually HB electrophoresis reports are evaluated only after 6 months of age
