A. Yes, burping is still recommended even if your baby falls asleep during nighttime feeding. When babies feed, they often swallow air, which can cause discomfort if not released. To burp your sleeping baby, gently place them upright on your shoulder or hold them in a sitting position while supporting their head. Use soft, rhythmic pats on their back to help release the trapped air. If the baby remains asleep and does not burp, monitor for signs of discomfort, such as squirming or waking up suddenly. Regular burping helps prevent gas, spit-up, and fussiness.
