Dr. suggested mi to stitch to cervix area is this dangerous and why it is done

A. It is completely normal procedure it is to be done with women who have a low lying placenta and sometimes when the cervix open early and there is a time left for delivery that is when the stitch the cervix so that you can contain your pregnancy and you can complete your full term pregnancy
