A. Weight gain in a child is a good indicator for proper health of the child and there should be a regular weight gain as per the age of the child. if there is not a proper weight gain it can be because of many factors and three most important causes are Baby not taking enough calories Baby is nott absorbing the enough calories which the baby is taking Baby is burning too many calories . So a proper assessment is very important to know the cavuse regarding this .

A. Hi See you did not mention the birth weight of the child so how do I know whether your child is gaining well or not because till that I am I am not aware about the correct weight gain I will not be able to tell you anything but yes for this I can tell you just take the birth weight of the child and calculate about 400 g per month if your child has been sufficiently that every month then your child is gaining really well
