Q.

Dr, my baby is 3 months 19 days , n she is in breastfeeding , but from last two days she wants to feed after every 1 n halh hr n i m not lactating that much n she is hungry . what should i do ..i hv brought lactogen should he start her formulla nilk n how much to give n when?

A. dear mum it is advisable that you do not begin formula breastmilk is best it will reduce milk supply if baby is passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours, is alert and active and gaining at least 500 grams per month then the milk supply is sufficient. it is normal for baby to breastfeed more due to various reasons like growth spurt more you breastfeed more will be the milk supply be confident at one time of feeding feed from only one breast and do not switch breast so that baby gets hind milk which helps to keep full
