does gripewater cause stomach ache to the baby?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. it is not advisable to give gripe water to the child on the regular basis because at the end it is a type of medicine which will help in decreasing the colic pain and improve digestion but yes it has got side effects so do not give this without medical xconsultation.
it contains sodium bicarbonate as well as plenty of sugars which has got side effects for such a small child.

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and gripe water is given for better digestive system and it will not a cause of stomach ache. Also if baby is having colic problem then apply hing water paste on baby stomach.
