Doctor, while passing stool he cries alot .. is it normal or matter of concern

A. straining while passing urine and stool is very normal before completion of 6 months of age. sometimes this can continufe for one year of age also. it usually occurs due to the distention of the urinary bladder and rectum of the child. the sensation is new for the child that's why the child is cryingc if you feel that the crying is more than normal you should visit a pediatrician for examination

A. hi dear The number of times your newborn has a bowel movement will vary, but most have at least one or two bowel movements a day in the first month. However, this is not true for all newborns. In the first week of life, a breastfed baby may have a bowel movement with almost every feeding.
