Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go .
In the toddlers thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could be phycological cause and feeling of insecurity or some stress . Just try to make the child comfortable and divert in some activities also spend good time with the child .
In extreme case withdrawal can be tried with some solution available wjhich are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be applied locally .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl1 Year agoA. Yes you can give it to the child you can give one time in the night before sleeping and the other dosage of 5ML should be given before the child goes to sleep after 14 days for the you can check with your paediatrician on this
