Q.

devansh ko 20 Feb ko afternoon me fever hua tha, doctor ne paracetamol syrup diya tha 3 days ka... devansh recover ho gaya tha. but 25 Feb ko night me fir se tez fever aaya tha 103 F ke around. doctor ne Azithromycin 200 MG, Meftall 100 mg, wet cough syrup setrizine surup 5 mg diya .... 6 days ho gaya is course ke sath... still fever aata hai bete ko. please suggest

A. Any temperature above 100 F is fever in babies Always measures temperature in armpits only.  No need to give any fever medicine if fever is below 100 F.  If asociated complaints like cough, cold, loose motion  Treat that accordingly as per ur pediatricians advice. Keep ur baby well hydrated.  Baby should pass minimum urine 6-8 times per day.  Visit ur pediatrician once. k

A. Kindly consult your paediatrician again. Has he given anti biotic also? My doctor has told me that a fewer takes at least one week to come down. Keep him well hydrated and give him seasonal juices and soups also.

Then I think you should get a blood test done for your child that’s going to give you over on clarity as per the situation because if the fever last for more than 72 hours and it is very important for you to get a blood test done because that is only going to give you a clarity as to why the fever has been there for such a long time and what kind of medicine would be required
