Q.

Dear Doctor, whether complete shaving of head (hair)at least once is required to maintain the hair growth? what is the significance behind this as most of the elders say to do it once when baby is small. I'm mother of twins daughters who are 20months old now and i gave not shaved their head yet as they have very nice curly hair. pls advice. Thank you๐Ÿ™

A. Is it true that shaving a baby's head (or cutting his hair very short) makes the hair grow in thicker and stronger?ย No.ย That has no effect on how thickly the hair grows in. Hair grows from a follicle beneath the scalp, and what you do to the hair on the surface doesn't affect the hair developing in the follicle.
