Dear Doc, Plz help me to understand what could be the reasons that my 3.5month old baby is having fever and not looking as active as he was before even after 1 week of vaccination? He was quite good before his 3.5 month vaccination. His vaccination affects him too much. every time he got his vaccination, he remained unwell for 1 week to 10 days. plz explain why this happens with my baby.

when fever comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain.
paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day.
you can also apply ice over the injection site.
if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel.c
vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. Fever with most vaccines begins within 12 hours and lasts 1 to 2 days. For low grade fevers of 100-102° F (37.8 to 39° C), do not give fever medicines.Spwak to your paediatrician if it is worrying you
