A. this occurs due to nasolacrimal duct obstruction which is very common in children at this age it occurs due to obstruction of pathwxay (nasolacrimal duct) from eyes to the nose for which eyes massage is needed regularly and this problem goes away with increaxsing age of the child meet your doctor for more information and also go through various videos which will also tell you how to massage the eyes to decrease the obstruction.

A. hi dear Eye discharge in newborns is common and often the result of a blocked tear duct. The blockage will usually clear up by itself within 4 to 6 months. However, newborns with eye redness, eye discharge, or excessive watering from the eyes should see a doctor to diagnose the cause and to rule out an eye infection.
