Q.

Can we give calcium and Iron to 16 months baby. If yes then please suggest.

A. if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to give any health supplements or calcium or multivitamins to the child but if it is less than your doctor will examine and according to the deficiency the doctor will give medicine and tell till what time a supplement needs to be continued. but it is at the same time advisable to go natural by giving diet as per age of the child which contains all the important nutrients and supplements. usually you have to give only iron and vitamin d supplements to the child but that also in maintenance dosage and not as a deficiency dosage after medical consultation. weather any multivitamin or a calcium supplements is required by the child or not will be decided by the doctor. just continue to give regular diet from cereals s pulses vegetable milk and fruits which contains all the multivitaminss along with calcium. calcium syrup or tablet and the dosage will be decided by the doctor according to the deficiency of the child
