Q.

Can temperature be different in each armpit? My baby's Right-hand(Vaccinated) side armpit temperature is 100.2 F° & Left-hand side temperature is 98.7 F°.Which one is correct?

A. For best results in babies and toddlers up to 3 years of age, the Academy of Pediatrics recommends taking the temperature rectally, by placing a thermometer in the baby's anus. This method is accurate and gives a quick reading of the baby's internal temperature.
