Can meftal p syrup given to 2 year 4 month opd bby without consulting doctor ?

A. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as feverc to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.

A. It’s a basic medication for stomach pain can be given to the child but if you’re giving it for the first time then I would suggest you to kindly check it with your doctor you can talk to your doctor about it but most of the cases there should be no problem giving this medicine to the child

Q. Hello doctor, my 17mon baby has high fever so doctor suggested meftal p and antibiotic syrup. he suggested meftal p 3ml thrice a day. antibiotic should be given 5days 2.5ml twice a day. but he dint mention about meftal p how many days it should be given. meftal p also should be given for 5 days along with antibiotics?
