Author of questionMom of a 4 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. I started with solid food once a day for my 6mo daughter. She is exclusively formula fed since her birth. Due to formula she passes hard stool in the gap of 3-4 days. The interval remains same even when I have started solid for her. She find difficulty is passing stool and become uncomfortable. What can I do to help her pass stool easily and more frequently than waiting for 3-4 days?

it is due to teething.
there is itching, pain, drooling of saliva, swelling in the gums, oral finger insertion, irritability and crying during the teething process.
with the help of your fingers you can press the gums of the child to decrease the pain as well as you can give a pacifier but it should be clean.
you can give a cold cotton cloth to bite and press between the gums
the child is crying due to pain then you can give paracetamol which will also help in decreasing the pain
long-term medicine are usually not advisable
