Q.

can I let my one n half month of to sleep as long as she wants and offer milk only when she cries? I usually feed her in one n half to two n half hour interval in morning and two to three hours intervals during night? I wanna ask that if I feed her well before sleep and she is into deep sound sleep, is it necessary to wake her up for feedings ?

A. dear mum, there is no need to wake up your baby for feeding. you should feed as per your baby's demand that is whenever baby wants and how much baby wants.

A. By the time your baby is 1–2 months old, he or she probably will nurse 7–9 times a day. In the first few weeks of life, breastfeeding should be "on demand" (when your baby is hungry), which is about every 1-1/2 to 3 hours. As newborns get older, they'll nurse less often, and may have a more predictable schedule.
