can I give gripe water to my 8onth old baby for constipation?

A. Constipation is a common problem in children for which diet modification is important like including high fibres in the diet for which you can give seasonal fruits like papaya, watermelon and seasonal vegetables will also help , can give daliya or oatsmeal also .give mor e liquids. giving excess of milk may cause constipation too.also avoid banana which may aggravate .lactulose or polyethylene glycol may be of good help,but give any medicine or suppository only when prescribed.not advise d for gripe water

A. Gripe water for newborns and babies is thought to help relieve stomach discomfort, make it easier for babies to pass gas, possibly battle constipation and encourage bowel movements and even potentially soothe colic (or excessive crying).
