can a breast feeding mother take the Sputnik vaccine and can she give feeding after vaccination please suggest.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Covid vaccination like covishield/ covaxin in the breastfeeding mothers can be given very safely .
According to the latest guidelines issued by healthy ministry pregnant women can also be now asafely given the current available vaccines . so they can also register at covin app.
Minor complications like fever lethargy pain at injection site can be handled safely by taking paracetamol .
Presently children are not included in this list.
Mothers can feed their child as soon as required after the vaccination very safely with no side effects in the child

Ya You can go ahead with the vaccination and you can continue breastfeeding the child after that also this is a Russian vaccination that you are talking about and in general also the doctors are saying that no matter which vaccination you are taking you can continue with feeding
