breast milk is not sufficient to my baby, and we feeding cow milk, but our doctors asked us not to use cow milk and suggested formula milk i.e.powder milk. so which is better powered milk or cow milk? please give your valuable suggestions.

A. give only breastmilk till completion of Six month if you want your child to stay healthy. formula milk to be started only after six months and cow milk after one year

A. Hi, I am a new mother. As per my knowledge there would be less chances of situations like breast milk is not enough to child or low milk suply. Milk is produced on demand . Do not get stressed regarding sufficiency of milk as stress hampers the milk supply. I suggest to try and understand the issue and solve it. There are many videos available in firstcry, YouTube on latching, how to increase breast milk, fore milk, hind milk. Go through them to get some idea where it's going wrong and solutions. If the issue still persist you can take the help of your Pediatrician or Lactation regarding top milk. Thank You.

A. Both have their own importance but the doctor has advised not to go for counselling because this is not the right age you can introduce any kind of animal milk to the child only after the age of 12 months not before that which is why your doctor has put up a restriction on that.Write Your Answer Here
